The scheduling goblins got us this month, and we’ve had to delay our planned short story episode. But while we get that sorted out, Ben’s embracing the chaos – and the theme of Terry Pratchett Day 2024, “Start in the Wrong Place”! Join him as he shares some of your stories of unusual places to start reading Pratchett.

Hello, I’ve just listened to this episode, thank you it was a lot of fun to hear everyone’s story! For me it started with watching my dad playing the Discworld Noir videogame from 1999 (in French, but the French translation is awesome) and we loved it so much, it was a crime game but with fantasy and so much humor!! Like nothing we knew. We discovered only later that it was related to a series of books and we fell in love with the work of Terry. I would soooo love if you were making an episode on this videogame, it is a whole city watch (kinda) story in itself, and for me it is part of the story of Ankh-Morpork as much as any Discworld book. Anyway, thanks again for the podcast!
Oh, what a way to start with Discworld Auriane! Thank you for sharing your story with us. Which book did you read first?
We recently did our first videogame episode about the 1995 adventure game, and I certainly plan for us to cover Discworld Noir. Watch this space!
